I'm registering for classes tomorrow and I've been sitting here for the past hour or so planning my schedule. I've been wondering: How do you people pick their classes? Do you choose whatever sounds easiest/hardest/most interesting/practical.... etc.?

I'm a freshman, so I've been picking classes to just get all the GE requirements out of the way, but I try to choose whatever sounds easy and interesting (but they tend to be hella hard anyway... like my math class. jesus).

Oh, and do any of you have "individual instruction" music classes in your uni? Have you taken any? I'm kind of interested in taking one (it's like 1-2 units!) for the hell of it, but I'm not sure if there are requirements for that.

If I was you try not to pile up and fuck yourself over as a freshman. And you goto go into the semester wanting to learn and work hard. Especially if you doing Math trust me. I got lazy and was doing kinda shitty on the first few quizzes :|

first i make a schedule of clases to take that let me work at the same time,
then check the professor feedback against ratemyprofessor.com to make sure i dont get some asshole

I pick things that interest me. And i will go to extraordinary lengths to do so (shitty hours, overlapping classes, overloading, writing letters, speaking to professors)

I don't worry about workload or difficulty level or prerequisites if I can get away with bypassing prerequisites.

That's just how it works best for me personally though.

I pick it based on interestingness and easieness. Like im taking as electives (on top of commerce school requirements) critical thinking (interesting) and computer useage (easy)
